  1. Craig-another good podcast. You mentioned that you used the zoom for podcasting before; what editing software did you use?
    Cheers

  2. @Dames20 Hi dames20 As always, thanks for taking the time to listen to the podcast and provide your feedback. When we used the Zoom recorder we imported the sound flle into Audacity (free) and did any editing in there. I use Audacity for my own personal podcasts and even the professional desktop broadcaster that we now use in work has Audacity loaded onto it to do any post-production, although to be honest now that we can record ‘live’ our post-production is almost non existent.

If you are planning to use Audacity to export to mp3 make sure you install the LAME plugin (alos free)

Is audio/podcasting something that you are looking at going into personally/at work?

  3. @CraigTaylor74 hi Craig-am thinking of adding audio to the suite of learning that we can offer-new LMS etc and adding audio to our authoring tool (Atlantic link at the mo) have you added audio in anything in AL? am trying also make our courses into ‘campaigns’ so we could use it as follow up etc after a F2F module, for instance. Will let you know how we get on!

  4. @Dames20 I have inserted quite a bit of audio into A-L and whilst the in-built sound recorder is OK and does the job, I have found that recording outside of A-L using Audacity provides more options and greater quality

  6. @CraigTaylor74 thanks for that Craig. Will look into getting Audacity (don’t know the emoticon for ‘fingers crossed’!)

  7. @Dames20 @CraigTaylor74 Audacity can actually run from a USB stick so you should be able to get around your Innovation Prevention Department 😉

  8. @dames20 Audacity will run from a memory stick, so you’ll be able to get around your Innovation Prevention Department 😉

Enough of the lurking! Why not leave a comment? You know you want to...
